PRESIDENT
Schuth is an actor, director, software developer and musician has been involved the cultural life of Washington County for over a decade. He is a founding member of the Magnificent Liars and the Passamaquoddy Bay Symphony Orchestra, and has served as Artistic Director of the Maine Youth Summer Theater Institue at the University of Maine at Machias. He lives in Eastport with his wife, Alice, and they raised three boys.
VICE PRESIDENT
Nichols-Goodliff teaches music and is a part-time gamer, musician, composer, writer and cat fanatic. She's written and directed two blueberry musicals in Machias, directed children's musicals in schools, performed with UMM Chorale and Machias Town Band, Quoddy Voices and the Passamaquoddy Bay Symphony Orchestra, played in a cover band and directed several shows for Stage East. She composed the music and lyrics to the 2022 Stage East original musical, Away Down East (A Wicked Good Time!).
SECRETARY
Dunbar grew up in Eastport and can barely remember a time when she wasn't involved in theater productions in the area, from Children's Theater to Stage East to Shead's Mixed Nuts and the Magnificent Liars. She performed on stage in such Stage East productions as Sea & Town, Teddy & Alice, Once Upon a Mattress, Quilters, August: Osage County, A Christmas Carol (twice!), Almost Maine (twice!), and others. She has also assisted backstage in many shows. When not engaged in theatrical pursuits, she can be found working as a dental hygienist for Eastport Health Care, spending time her husband Don and cat Soggy, or immersed in other community activities.
TREASURER
Cecire, a resident of Eastport for 50 years was involved with the creation of Stage East back in 1991. He is delighted to be here for its 30th birthday. Early on he appeared in Greater Tuna and A Christmas Carol, took years off and came back as sound tech for many productions over the last several years. Recently he has been tech director for two productions, and installed as treasurer in 2020.
Teresa moved to Eastport in 2019 and has been an active community member ever since. She joined the Stage East board in 2021 and enjoys helping the arts thrive in Down East Maine. When she’s not at a board meeting or community event, you can find her pursuing her hobbies: photography, sewing, cooking, and travel.
