OPENING SOON

Ms. Holmes and Ms. Watson, Apt 2B

An irreverent, darkly comic modern take on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's famous sleuth and sidekick, "Ms. Holmes and Ms. Watson, Apt 2B" is a fast-paced romp that re-examines the world's most famous detective story with a bold new feminist lens.

In this highly theatrical, small cast escapade, oddball female roommates Sherlock (yes, it's also a girl's name - wait, is it a girl's name? Is it even a name?) Holmes and Joan Watson join forces to emerge from pandemic fog as a deeply codependent, quasi-dysfunctional Odd Couple adventure duo - solving mysteries and kicking butts, at least until they come face to face with a villain who seems to have all of the answers.

Directed by Cookie Repp.

Amber Fuchs as Ms. Holmes

Amber has enjoyed theater since her high school days, which coincidentally also happens to be the last time she performed in a play. She is excited to take on the challenge of representing Sherlock Holmes, her favorite literary character, and hopes to do the role justice.

Marcelina Messin as Ms. Watson

Last Spring Marcelina played several roles in The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon with Stage East. As a classically trained ballet dancer she has years of experience performing in ballets such as The Nutcracker. Professionally, she has been teaching Pilates for the last 20 years. In her free time she enjoys long walks in Downeast Maine with her family.

Olivia Fiore as Irene Adler

Olivia Fiore-Carpenter recently moved down east and is thrilled to be a part of Stage East’s production of Ms. Holmes and Ms Watson, Apt. 2B. She has a degree in Theatre for Young Audiences from the University of New Hampshire and her acting/entertainment career has brought her to all sorts of places from Lexington Children’s Theatre, to Manhattan, to Cruise ships! You can catch her teaching aerobics classes at UMM or exploring the wild coastline of Maine. She lives in Dennysville with her new husband and chickens.

With the invaluable help of

Arielle Richardson as Mrs. Drebber

Arielle is glad to be back on the Stage East stage for another production. She enjoys stepping into characters that are a little mysterious, a little unpredictable, and most definitely part of the chaos. When she’s not on stage, she can usually be found bouncing around Washington County and beyond, enjoying the everyday unpredictability of life. She’s excited to be part of "Ms. Holmes & Ms. Watson, Apt. 2B" and to help bring this story to life.

Greg Blatt: Set Design/Construction

Greg’s wife wishes Stage East had never got wind of Greg’s amazing skill set. He can design anything, build anything and fix anything on the face of the earth. Probably in space too, if he had the opportunity. Unfortunately, working with this wonderful bunch of creative people makes him almost as happy as a whiff of Coppertone on the boardwalk. Which means, she may never corral him for a home project again. Thanks, Stage East.

Dana Graffam: Set Design/Construction

Amber has enjoyed theater since her high school days, which coincidentally also happens to be the last time she performed in a play. She is excited to take on the challenge of representing Sherlock Holmes, her favorite literary character, and hopes to do the role justice.

Eric Messin: Set Design/Construction

Eric is a master jeweler. He has designed watercolor and gouache renderings for over 35 years. Moving his family to Maine in 2021 gave him the opportunity to dedicate all of this time to art, using charcoals, watercolors and egg tempera. He has previously collaborated in creating the set decor for State East’s production of “The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon” before taking on the set design for "Ms. Holmes and Ms. Watson, Apt 2B". You can look for his upcoming exhibit of watercolors entitled “Downeast Dwellings” at the Lubec Memorial Library in June 2026.

Jude Kempe: Light and Sound

Jude Kempe: painter, film/video maker, music dabbler. carpenter as well as a sound and light tech for Stage East and the EAC. “I love working with light and sound and with creative production teams.
